Speech Sounds (Articulation)                                                   

 

·       Say one sound on each step as you go to bed.

·       Say one sound as you drop each toy into the bathtub

·       Say one sound as you put away toys, silverware, socks, etc.

·       Say one sound for every car you pass in the parking lot.

·       Have everyone at dinner say the target sound three times before you begin to eat.

·       Say your sound three times each time your car moves up in the drive thru line.

·       Say your sounds before you brush your teeth.

·       Say your sounds before you turn on the TV

·       Make your sound the “magic word” to get doors opened.

·       Desserts should have a special sound!

·       Find your sound in the grocery store.

·       Toss a ball back and forth and say your sound when you catch and throw.

 

Language

 

·       Play “opposites” in the grocery store (big, little, top, bottom).

·       Take a walk and look for signs of the season.

·       Find 5 things the same size, color, or shape, etc.

·       Hide candy and “follow directions” to find it.

·       Count the dishes as you set the table.

·       Play “I see” as you drive home.

·       Read a bed time book and label the pictures.

·       Call Grandma on the phone and just “talk.”

·       Target concepts in the bathtub.

·       Label clothes as you get dressed.

·       Find 5 things in the kitchen that you can eat and 5 you can’t eat.

·       Sing a favorite song and leave out words for your child to fill in.
