Homework needs to be completed and turned in the morning it is due in the Seahawks homework folder.  Incomplete or missing work will be recorded on the inside of the homework folder.  If a student does not bring in homework, or it is incomplete (this includes a parent signature!), they will be fined in classroom money (the receive half back if they bring it in late!).

Parents ~ Here are some helpful hints and links.

bulletEach night your child should be reading at least 30 minutes...it is part of homework.
bulletEach day in the planner needs a parent or adult signature.
bulletBe consistent with a time and place for homework.
bulletEach month has a book project, help your child plan ahead to complete it on time.

Monthly Book Project - Each month students are responsible for reading a book in the designated genre and completing a project for that book.  Books should be at students' independent reading level.  Each student has a white folder with instructions and grading forms from past projects.  The first one was done in class to help students gage pacing and expectations.

This month students have been assigned the genre of science fiction.  There has been some confusion with the project.  The paragraphs written about an actual invention that could lead to the science fiction aspect of the book.  Email Mrs. Rickey with any questions.
